Magogodi Elizabeth Tebogo Malaka is an established South African organizational leader who has board responsibilities with Magalies Water in Rustenburg. Focused on ensuring timely, cost-effective sourcing and distribution of water, she has studied industry best practices through tours spanning Canada, Sweden, and Sri Lanka. Until early 2026, Tebogo Malaka served as Independent Development Trust (IDT) chief executive officer.
Based in Pretoria, Ms. Malaka was tasked with strategic planning and coordinating operations with key stakeholders. She effectively deployed fund assets and administered portfolio holdings, envisioning and implementing diverse projects. Emphasizing transparency and best practices in public sector management, she oversaw public communications related to various IDT programmes. She also helped develop local supplier networks and elevated the role of youth and women in ambitious infrastructure projects.
Ms. Malaka earned her BA in social science at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in Durban and completed her MBA at MANCOSA. She also finished a course on public-private partnerships in infrastructure at the University of Queensland in Australia.
